POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. The Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposals and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. This role requires excellent writing, editing, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality submissions under tight deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analyze RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements and create a clear, compliant, and compelling narrative.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), sales, technical, and operations teams to gather information for proposals.
- Write, edit, and format proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements and company branding.
- Develop proposal content including executive summaries, technical approaches, management plans, past performance, and resumes.
- Maintain and update a content library of standard responses, templates, and boilerplate materials.
- Manage proposal schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all deliverables.
- Coordinate and participate in proposal reviews and revisions.
- Track and report on proposal progress, outcomes, and improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in proposal writing or related roles (grant writing, technical writing, marketing).
- Strong command of written English, grammar, and business writing best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with proposal tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Qvidian, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- TOEIC score of 900 or equivalent.
Preferred
- Familiarity with government, nonprofit, or commercial procurement processes.
