POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced SAT Math Teacher to prepare students for the Math sections of the SAT exam. The ideal candidate will be skilled in explaining mathematical concepts, teaching test-taking strategies, and helping students significantly improve their scores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in SAT Math content, including both Calculator and No-Calculator sections.
- Teach key SAT Math topics such as algebra, problem-solving and data analysis, advanced math, geometry, and basic trigonometry.
- Help students understand question types, solve problems efficiently, and apply test-taking strategies under timed conditions.
- Diagnose student needs using diagnostic tests or practice exams, and develop personalized study plans.
- Assign and review targeted practice work to reinforce learning and measure progress.
- Provide detailed feedback and progress updates to students (and parents, if applicable).
- Keep up-to-date with the SAT Math format, scoring, and any changes to the digital SAT.
- Create and adapt lesson plans, worksheets, and practice tests as needed to match student ability levels.
- Foster a positive, focused, and supportive learning environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong familiarity with the SAT Math exam and proven strategies for success.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring SAT Math is highly desirable.
- Ability to break down complex math concepts into simple, relatable steps.
- Strong classroom or virtual teaching presence and effective communication skills
- Experience with digital learning tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with the Digital SAT format and tools
- Experience with curriculum development or creating SAT prep materials.
- Teaching certification or tutoring credentials are a plus.
