To support the new factory setup in Egypt, they are seeking a capable and experienced local Project Manager who will play a key role in establishing our financial and administrative foundation in Cairo.
Job Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing both Accounting and HR/Admin functions during the setup phase of the new facility. The primary responsibility (60%) will focus on Accounting, including local tax compliance and financial operations, while the secondary focus (40%) will be on HR & Administration, covering labor registration, employee onboarding, and coordination with local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting (60%)
- Establish accounting systems aligned with Egyptian regulations and global company standards.
- Oversee all accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, bank transactions, and monthly closings.
- Prepare and file tax reports (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT), and liaise with tax authorities.
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to the Global Finance Team.
- Track and report on project costs and expenditures.
- Coordinate with auditors, financial consultants, and banking partners as needed.
2. HR & Administration (40%)
- Manage labor registration and ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws.
- Set up employment contracts, payroll systems, and HR procedures.
- Support licensing, workplace setup, office logistics, and vendor management.
- Serve as the main point of contact for HR/Admin-related matters in Egypt.
- Maintain organized, compliant records of contracts, HR documentation, and administrative files.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Deep knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards, tax laws, and labor regulations.
- Previous experience in foreign direct investment (FDI) or multinational companies.
- Proficiency in English and accounting tools (especially SAP); strong Microsoft Office skills.
