Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Cairo / Giza (preferably nearby residents)
Travel Requirement: Willing to travel to West Africa (up to 1 month per year)
Reporting to: CFO
Language Requirement: Very good French is mandatory
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related fields; CMA preferred
Experience: 10–15 years, including at least 2 years as a Chief Accountant in the trading or manufacturing sector
Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the full spectrum of general accounting operations for both the Egypt and Niger offices. This includes financial reporting, audits, compliance, process improvement, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee and manage general accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxation
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial statements and reports for Egypt and Niger
- Prepare, review, and validate all financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, standards, and internal controls
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain product cost records
- Manage and record foreign currency transactions and propose exchange rates
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and complete internal and external audits, including year-end and quarterly financial reviews
- Support corporate financial controls audits and ensure audit readiness
- Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance
Process Improvement & Controls
- Assess current accounting practices and recommend improvements
- Lead initiatives to improve financial systems and procedures
- Ensure continuous improvement in financial reporting and operational efficiency
Team Management
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, setting performance goals and providing ongoing coaching and training
- Assign projects and ensure timely, accurate delivery of financial data
- Foster a strong, collaborative environment across departments
Cash Flow & Reporting
- Analyze and report company cash flow positions on a weekly basis
- Prepare and submit bank balance reports and liability schedules
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making
Preferred Background
- Audit experience (internal or external)
- Prior experience working across multiple countries or regions is a plus
- Exposure to trading or manufacturing environments
- Willingness to travel to West Africa (e.g., Niger) up to 1 month per year
