- Ensuring timely delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and other items related to programme logistics and administration;
- Maintaining the assigned vehicle in optimal condition, including daily checks of oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and fuel levels;
- Performing minor repairs and coordinating with service providers for scheduled maintenance and major repairs.
- Keeping the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and compliant with safety and registration requirements;
- Managing vehicle logs, including daily mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance records, and trip documentation;
- Supporting logistical arrangements for programme events, workshops, and field activities, including transportation of materials and equipment;
- Assisting with the transmission of documents and correspondence to external stakeholders and partners;
- Ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and organizational protocols during all driving duties;
- Reporting any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the Financial Officer and Team Leader;
- Supporting the PMU with basic administrative tasks when not engaged in driving duties;
- Performing other relevant duties as required to facilitate the smooth implementation of the programme
Requirements
1. Age not exceeding (at the time of signing the contract) that required for retirement by local regulations (60 years);2. Medically fit for employment;
3. High School Diploma (level 5 European Qualification Framework EQF). Other degrees (level 4 European Qualification Framework EQF) may be accepted when matched with highly qualified;
4. professional experiences as driver in Egypt;
5. At least 10 years of relevant professional experience as driver (driving license 3);
6. At least 2 referral letters from previous employer;
7. At least 10 years of experience working with international organizations,
governmental and/or nongovernmental aid bodies as driver;
8. Intermediate English user (B2 Level - Common European Framework of Reference);
9. Proficient in written and spoken Arabic (C2 Level - Common European Framework
of Reference);
10. Intermediate User in the use of GPS (es. google maps).
Preferential Requirements:
The following will constitute the preferred qualification for the position:
1. Driving license additional to the minimum requirement indicated in point above;
2. Intermediate Italian user (B1 Level - Common European Framework of Reference);
3. Previous working experience at the Directorate General for Development
Cooperation and / or the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation;
4. Previous experience with EU-funded projects and related procedures for vehicle
clearance and transfer of ownership;
5. Professional experience carried out in the country indicated in this vacancy notice;
6. Previous experience in logistic and office support;
7. Previous experience in rural areas and various governorates around the country
indicated in this vacancy notice;
