We are seeking an Event Creative Director / Storyteller to lead our creative vision, design, and storytelling across a wide range of high-impact events. If you're an innovative thinker with a passion for crafting compelling narratives and producing memorable experiences, this role is for you.
About the Role
As the Event Creative Director / Storyteller, you will be the creative mastermind behind the experiences we deliver. You will lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of immersive event experiences, ensuring that every detail contributes to a cohesive and impactful narrative.
You’ll work closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to craft compelling stories that align with brand identities and resonate with audiences. This role demands creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire and lead teams to bring stories to life in new and exciting ways.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Vision & Concept Development
- Lead the creative direction for a variety of live, hybrid, and virtual events, from product launches to brand activations, conferences, and large-scale experiences
- Develop unique and compelling event concepts that align with the client’s goals, brand identity, and audience needs
- Create immersive narratives and creative strategies that drive engagement, elevate brand experiences, and captivate attendees
- Work with cross-functional teams (design, production, strategy) to ensure creative concepts are feasible and can be executed within budget and on time
Storytelling & Brand Experience Design
- Craft powerful stories that communicate the essence of the brand or message, transforming ideas into compelling, shareable moments
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, translating it into actionable creative concepts and experiences
- Oversee the design and visual direction of events, ensuring the narrative is consistent across all elements (set design, lighting, content, etc.)
- Build the emotional narrative journey for attendees, creating moments that are both memorable and meaningful
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of designers, producers, and creative professionals to bring your vision to life
- Foster a collaborative environment where ideas can flourish, encouraging creativity and innovation at every stage of the event process
- Communicate your creative vision clearly to all stakeholders, including clients, production teams, and vendors
- Guide the team in refining concepts and ensuring the final production aligns with the client’s objectives and budget
- Client Engagement & Presentation
- Serve as the main creative point of contact for clients, working closely with them throughout the creative process to ensure satisfaction and alignment
- Present and pitch creative concepts to clients, demonstrating the value and impact of your ideas
- Provide strategic guidance on how to engage audiences through storytelling, immersive design, and interactive elements
- Act as the brand ambassador for Nexturn, ensuring that all events reflect our agency’s creative standards and innovative approach
Event Execution & On-Site Oversight
- Oversee the execution of the creative vision on-site, ensuring every element of the event (from stage design to interactive experiences) is brought to life seamlessly
- Work with the event production team to troubleshoot any issues and adapt the creative vision on the fly as needed
- Ensure the event experience is cohesive, consistent, and engaging from start to finish
Post-Event Analysis & Reporting
- Evaluate the effectiveness of creative strategies post-event, gathering client and audience feedback
- Share insights and lessons learned with the team to continuously improve future creative concepts and executions
- Provide clients with comprehensive post-event reports that include performance metrics, audience engagement, and brand impact
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in event production, creative direction, or storytelling with experience in an agency and Pharmaceutical or medical background is preferred
- Proven track record of leading creative vision for large-scale events, brand activations, or experiential campaigns
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative event concepts, immersive storytelling, and brand experience design
- Exceptional storytelling and conceptualization skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to pitch, present, and collaborate effectively with clients, creative teams, and production partners
- Proficiency with creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.) and familiarity with event design and production software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of adaptability
