The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Packaging Development Associate Technologist who will drive and execute the Packaging agenda (innovations, renovations, productivity, and ESG) in accordance with the Company's strategic and annual plans. The delivery of new packaging solutions, Value Engineering (VE), Supply Chain (SC) projects, and the enabling of ESG projects will be your primary responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of new and improved packaging solutions within the framework of New Product Development (NPD) activities, value engineering, and ESG activities in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Coordinate processes by carrying out packaging development and improvement projects for existing and new products.
Support the creation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date specifications for packaging materials of all products.
Follow up and report on sample studies of all designed and developed packages.
Develop projects related to alternative materials and packaging processes, including conducting cost-saving studies.
Attend packaging trials, coordinate trial plans, and manage materials.
Support laboratory activities related to packaging.
Coordinate supplier relations related to new product developments and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Food Technology.
1-3 years of experience in Packaging Development.
Proficient in English.
Knowledge of key packaging formats, materials, characteristics, analytical methods, regulatory, and legal aspects.
Familiarity with manufacturing: key packaging machines and operating principles.
Analytical with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Critical thinking and ability to simplify complex information.
Effective communication skills.
