How will you make an impact?
The Sourcing Executive is responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and accurate loading of contracts, rates, and promotions. This role focuses on contract management, market research, quality assurance, and supplier engagement to drive commercial performance and operational excellence.
The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers. The Senior Sourcing Executive plays a critical role in optimizing inventory, enhancing supplier relations, and ensuring accuracy in contract execution.
Key elements to the role include, but not limited to:
Supplier Management & Contract Execution
- Load contracts, rates, stop sales, and promotions into the system with high accuracy.
- Verify that contracts contain all required details, ensuring completeness before processing.
- Communicate with contract managers and suppliers to clarify missing or unclear information.
- Ensure that rate accuracy and availability are maintained across booking platforms.
Operational Excellence & Quality Control
- Conduct QA/QC checks on loaded contracts to prevent errors and discrepancies.
- Monitor and update stop sales and promotions, ensuring real-time accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve booking issues and discrepancies, working with internal teams and suppliers.
- Assist hotels with Extranet system usage and troubleshooting to optimize inventory updates.
Market Research & Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze supplier performance, rate competitiveness, and booking trends.
- Provide insights on market trends and opportunities to enhance sourcing strategies.
- Ensure contracts and pricing align with WebBeds' commercial goals and competitive positioning.
- Maintain and update supplier data, mapping details, and contract status reports.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Sourcing Supervisors and Contracting Managers to support business objectives.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports on sourcing and contract performance.
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal policies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and contract execution.
The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, contracting, or supplier management within the travel industry.
- Strong attention to detail with experience in contract loading, rate management, and quality control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and contract management systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in market research and performance tracking.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
