About The Role
We are looking for a Systems & Server Operations Specialist to join our IT & Dev Ops team. This role involves system administration, installation and configuration of software and databases, management of system access rights, network configuration settings, ongoing server exploitation (operation), backups, and restoration procedures. The position is ideal for someone with a solid background in server administration, IT security, and operational continuity.

What You’ll Do
Install and configure software applications and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) on both physical and virtual servers.
Install regular updates of our application (Web Console with back end system, API, database),
Set up and maintain operating system parameters and system services for stability and optimal performance.
Manage user access rights, roles, and permissions to ensure proper security and operational workflow.
Configure network access, IP whitelisting, firewalls, VPNs, …,
Perform regular exploitation and monitoring of servers to ensure uptime, stability, capacity planning and SLA.
Develop, implement, and document comprehensive backup strategies and restoration procedures for disaster recovery.
Upload or export data when needed. Conduct regular tests of backup and restoration processes.
Respond to server incidents, troubleshoot issues, and execute root cause analysis.
Document in english all configurations and operations for operational maintenance including (backup and restoration procedures, procedure for disaster recovery).
Keep system documentation up to date, including diagrams, process documentation, and configuration records.
Collaborate with IT, security, and Development teams in English to optimize system and network infrastructure.
What You’ll Need
Must have qualification:
Proficient in Linux, to manage both physical and virtual server environments.
Proficient in database installation, configuration, and routine operation (backups, restores, upgrades).
Ability to script and automate operations using Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven ability to administer network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall configuration).
Experience in managing access controls and system security.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools and best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Nice to have (no problems if you don’t have any of these):
Experience with physical platforms and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and/or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Industry certifications
Familiarity with monitoring tools and security frameworks.
Soft skills:
Effective verbal and written English communication.
Rigorous approach to documentation and process.
Strong sense of responsibility for the stability and security of essential IT resources.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
