Job Description
- Plan, facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company all types of taxes, be responsible for the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms for all legal entities in Egypt; maintains tax records as well as returns, reports and other related materials.
- Ensure all monthly/ quarterly/ annually tax reporting and tax provisions are submitted on time accurately.
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.; find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
- Act as tax business partner to the commercial teams in relation to tax advisory, planning and governance, to develop and implement strategic tax planning for the company.
- Work closely with larger finance team to secure company’s position.
- Supervise and manage all types of tax audits with external or internal parties and communicate with tax authority to defend the tax position and ensuring smooth tax audit process.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate its impact on our business and financial statements, and work to create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Optimise capital and legal structure for the group operations in Egypt. Coordinate and prepare transfer pricing documentations for the legal entities to ensure compliance of transfer pricing regulations.
- Responsible for tax advisory and international tax matters, including but not limited to withholding taxes, treaty applications and etc.
- Develop the tax organization in Egypt, organize training and learning with finance and non-finance team.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or other related majors. CPA/Masters/related degree in taxation is preferred.
- 10+ year of relevant experience with extensive corporate tax knowledge in Multinational company and/or accounting firm.
- Excellent technical tax knowledge in tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations, direct experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Collaborator with excellent interpersonal communication skills to work with people across functions and culture.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.
- Initiative-taker with strong leadership and influencing skills to engage and develop tax team.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English communications skills to communicate with regional and global team within the group.
- Strong computer skills with drive for using technology as an enabler. Proficiency in Microsoft applications viz. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP would be an added advantage.
