This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test ABAP applications to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and other objects.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP related issues.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability, particularly in HANA environments.
- Work with SAP HANA features such as SQL Script, CDS views, and AMDPs.
- Develop and consume OData services for integration with other systems.
- Participate in system upgrades and enhancements.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP ABAP and HANA technologies and best practices.
- Manage small to medium-sized development projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong understanding of ABAP programming concepts and techniques.
- Experience with SAP HANA development, including SQL Script, CDS views, and AMDPs, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in debugging and performance tuning ABAP code.
- Experience with different ABAP technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of OData services and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
