Role Purpose
As a Customer Service and Sales Officer, you’ll be the face of the British Council’s Teaching Centre, delivering exceptional service and driving student enrolments. Your mission is to support sales growth by engaging confidently with new and returning students, guiding them through our English language offerings, and helping the centre exceed its targets. With every interaction, you’ll ensure a seamless, professional experience that reflects our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Main Accountabilities:
As a Customer Service and Sales Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for students, delivering friendly and professional support across all channels. You’ll handle enquiries, manage registrations, and ensure every interaction reflects the British Council’s standards and values.
You’ll drive student enrolments by conducting consultations, managing leads, and converting interest into sales. With a customer-focused approach, you’ll follow up on drop-offs, support marketing efforts, and help meet monthly sales targets.
Beyond customer service and sales, you’ll assist with Teaching Centre operations, including data entry, payment handling, and survey collection. You’ll also support administrative tasks to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience
Essentials:
- Comprehensive, proven experience as a customer service and sales executive
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Fast learner and passion for customer service and sales
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Excellent command of English – written and spoken – to connect confidently and clearly.
- University degree
Desirables:
- Customer Service Professional Qualification
- Relevant qualification or training undertaken in Sales
